dragon needs new home
I joined our local village amateur dramatic society as choreographer but also get heavily involved with costumes and props (I love making things and they already have someone to paint the scenery!) Rather rashly I offered to make a dragon costume for our feb 2007 panto 'The Return of Puff'. Never one to do things by halves, Puff took me 150 hours to make. He was built to last with a view to hiring him out and cost over £100 in materials. Unfortunately, storage has become a problem and the dragon has to go!
Puff looks very friendly but can be ferocious when he needs to. He will fit someone of small to medium build up to 6ft tall but looks best on a shorter person. The body is made mainly of foam, has moving hands, is supported on the shoulders and can just about be squeezed through a standard doorway. The head is based on a cycle helmet and has an opening mouth. The wearer has good visibility and the costume is not too uncomfortable to wear. It is only suitable for indoor use.
